About Us

OUR MISSION

We exist to engage community at its foundation: family.

Truth+People creates learning opportunities for children to develop a Gospel-focused foundation. For teens and adults, we provide small group
engagements for education, training, and relationship building, believing disciples make disciples.

We believe strong families = strong communities.

OUR VISION

We exist to equip and empower disciple-making leaders to bring God’s Word to every community.

Where We Serve

Truth+People is based in Uganda’s Adjumani District near the South Sudanese border, where over 20 refugee camps house more South Sudanese people than natives. We have the potential to reach over 250,000 individuals speaking six languages. Our community engagements impact current and next-generation leaders who will cross borders with the gospel.

Our Story

In 2013, Collins Mugume felt called to bring the gospel to hard-to-reach areas of Africa. He and his family established Truth+People in 2024. Now, the ministry focuses on sharing God’s Truth as the solution to all brokenness. The foundation of the ministry is the greatest commandments: love God and love people.

Our Values

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We belong to Him and seek to emulate His ways. We are called to live out the Great Commission as we create opportunities for every person to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. His name is our identity.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20

Jesus emphasized worshipping Him by loving one another. We celebrate each other, appreciate one another, have open and respectful communication, active listening, and focus on building each other up.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
John 13:34-35

We challenge every leader to live up to a standard that reflects Christ’s character. We strive to work on everything in a proper, organized, respectful manner with no fear of failure. We serve to grow as we solve problems.

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 4:10-11

Growth happens in hard environments, and integrity is tested in difficulty. Everything we do, whether with or without an audience, must bear witness to Christ’s work in our lives. We may be the only Bible someone ever reads.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.
Colossians 3:23
